La Mata is a year-round, established and settled, small town close to Torrevieja. It has a long wooden boardwalk, lots of lovely cafes, restaurants plus a huge local weekly market. La Mata beach is 2000 metres long and over 40 metres wide, is located at the Torrevieja’s district of Torrelamata. To the south, it adjoins the Cape Cervera, and to the north, it delimits the area of La Mata Tower, which has given its name to this district. Within a short journey there are various supermarkets and entertainments, including a big shopping centre la Zenia Boulevard.There are around 35 golf clubs and golf courses in the area! A few of them are considered to be one of the best in Europe. Nice towns to visit nearby are Alicante, Elche, Murcia and Cartagena.

Superb outdoor area and very close to the beach and restaurants. You need to reserve most restaurants in advance, but this was no issue. If you wanted to go further afield we would recommend hiring a car as getting a taxi was an issue. Christian was an amazing host and responsive to all messages.

The villa is really nice and matched all the photos. Really spacious and well equipped. The pool was the star attraction for the grandkids and they had a great time. Easy short walk to the beach, supermarket and restaurants. Outside space is private and lots of different sitting or sun lounging areas. A great place for a holiday in the sun.
